Dedicated IP

A unique IP address assigned exclusively to a single email sender or organization, used for sending emails. Unlike shared IP addresses, which are used by multiple senders, a dedicated IP ensures that all email traffic from that IP is solely associated with one sender.

Having a dedicated IP offers several benefits:

  1. Reputation Management: Allows for better control over the sender's reputation and deliverability, as the sender is not affected by the actions of other users sharing the same IP.
  2. Consistency: Ensures consistent email deliverability by establishing a stable sending history and reputation specific to the sender.
  3. Custom Configuration: Provides the ability to customize email authentication settings, such as SPF and DKIM to improve security and deliverability.

Overall, a dedicated IP helps businesses maintain a positive email sender reputation, leading to improved email deliverability and effectiveness in email marketing campaigns. With that said, there’s also certain benefits of a shared IP as well, especially for smaller businesses or those just starting out with cold email.
